The story so far.

After leaving the UK in the eighties and setting up home in Germany Shaun Baker began his Dj career first
playing in small clubs and working his way up to larger venues. It did not take long before he was playing
his power packed Dj sets Worldwide for example in Ibiza, Majorca, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Corfu, Holland,
France, England, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Portugal and all over Germany.

The music producing side of his career started in 1997. The first productions being mainly commercial Dance
tracks, some of the first tracks where very sucessfull reaching peak positions in many European Dance Charts.

Shaun's first entry in the sales charts came with "Explode" project Jordan & Baker
(2 entries in the german sales charts)
Explode produced together with Gambas (Trak MusiK) has advanced to being a classic Trance track finding its way into many big name Dj boxes and still being played as a dancefloor filler to this date.In 2005 Explode was remixed by E-Craig and Steve Murano.
Explode was also very succesfull in Holland, France, Switzerland, Poland, Spain and many other countries.

2005 finds Shaun teaming up with Sebastian Wolter & Olav Bel Goe from Melino Entertainment, the first co-production with Melino "XPLODE 2" resulted in breaking all German Dance Chart records by reaching the number 1 positions in every German Dance Chart making "XPLODE 2" the German Dance Chart Hit of 2005 Xplode 2 also entered the german sales charts and stayed there for 9 weeks.

2006 and Olav Bel Goe decides to leave the team to concentrate on other things, so Shaun & Sebastian build a new partnership without the name Melino, Olav is still good friends with Shaun & Sebastian and they keep in touch and drink the odd beer or 2 together.
The follow up Push/Deep also made big waves in the Dance Community and once again Shaun Baker entered the german sales Charts.
Now Shaun & Sebastian take the "Baker sound" to a new level with the 3rd single from the new team, this time a house cover of the classic Laid Back track "Bakerman"
Laid Back were so impressed with Shaun & Sebastian's version that they invited them to Copenhagen to listen to new tracks & discuss future co-op work.Laid Back also gave Shaun & Sebastian permission to use the original vocals & video from Bakerman. After reaching the peak positions in various European Dance Charts Bakerman also entered various Single sales Charts for example in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. In Germany Bakerman hit the top 40 sales Charts and stayed 10 weeks in the top 100.
The sucess story continues with the 4th single V.I.P, a song with a real message.
V.I.P was not only a great sucess in Germany but became the number 1 Radio hit in some countries, for example in Czech Republic, Slowakai & Poland.

Hey Hi Hello, the 5th single repeats the success of V.I.P. and also hits the number 1 position in Czech Republic & Poland, Hey Hi Hello was also voted the number 1 International Hit of 2008 for Poland at the Sopot Hit Festival.

The summer of 2007 sees Shaun & Sebastian Wolter founding their very own Record label called Uptunes.
The first release on Uptunes is of course the new Shaun Baker single "Power" which after only 1 week of
being released landed in various Dj online vinyl sales charts at number 1:The first vinyls being sold out whithin 1 week and Power without any Dj/Club promotion entered the top 30 Dance Charts.
Of course Uptunes will not only be releasing Shaun Baker singles but also other Artist tracks.

Not content with just producing he also writes songs and small vocal parts for his own productions and performs the speaking parts himself, but not only for his own productions also for other producers such as Dumonde, Helmedach, Dj Shah, Marc van Linden, Dj Tom, D'Gor, Headhunter, Sandra Flyn, Mario Lopez,
Dj Scotty, Join Forces to name but a few.

Other musical outlets he has involved himself in are presenting the TV Music Show
Club Inferno(German tv) and in his earlier years working partime as a Radio presenter at BFBS.
Shaun Baker prides himself on not just being a Dj but also an entertainer a man who can adapt to small &
large,commercial & progressive venues,he is truly in love with the music and likes to describe his musical style as "universal music" as he has no interest in being confined to one music style as he can feel comfortable playing "groovy house" in a small house club in Taiwan or playing Trance to 20,000 people at an open air event like Sopot Beach party in Poland.
